Down Town Transport

Down Town Transport logoDown Town Transport Ltd was set up as a trading arm in order that DDAT may pursue its charitable aims into the commercial sector, enabling it to bid for local and government transport contracts and provide a wider range of services, which DDAT are unable to provide as a not-for-profit company operating under section 10b permits.

DTT staff have national and international Certificates of Professional Competence in both passenger and freight transportation.

This enables us to obtain the Road Transport Service and Road Freight Operator's Licences necessary to undertake commercial passenger and goods transport.  DTT can then provide a much wider range of services whilst still maintaining the original aims & values of its parent company.  All profit made from its commercial undertakings are used to expand and improve upon its services and to support DDAT in its not-for-profit charitable undertakings.

DTT, from its Downpatrick base, currently operates passenger transport for occasional private hire journeys under an international Road Transport Service Licence.

DTT, from its base in Kirkubbin, provides transport for the movement of linen on behalf of the ……………

DTT employs a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor – all classes (road) which means we can, if required, undertake transportation of dangerous goods by road.
